This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

lupines in the rain
This is a community garden plot near mine. Absolutely beautiful in the June rain!
Wow. I've been very focused on vegetables this year, but now I lust after lupines. Even if we did harvest the first peas and eat them right out of the pods this week.

I agree! Very pretty in the rain. It looks like a nice place to stroll through on a beautiful day.
The peas sound yummy. Mine are almost ready. The first pea will be a good event to celebrate!
I've never seen lupine grow as big as they are in several of the Rock Meadow Victory Garden plots. Most gardeners put alot of work into their plots.
