today's harvest

harvest

A nice crop of bok choy, a big pile of spinach and lots of lettuce (Prizehead and broadleaved escarole).

My spinach was nearly three feet tall - very bolted. But the leaves were still nice. And at least the miners I had early this spring went away.

Beautiful!! we've unfortunately had 5 hail storms the last 3-4 weeks which has mostly destoyed the veggie garden, the clouds are once again rumbling so I've covered the thrice planted tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. I'm just glad we aren't farmers!

I envy the spinach. Mine, though super-tasty, just wasn't that prolific--and now it's bolted.
