Well, I'm trying to figure out what a group of gardeners would want to hear me talk about tomorrow morning. I'm talking at 10 am at the Squirrel Brand Community Garden Spring Kickoff in Cambridge. The weather's going to be drizzly, so I don't expect too big a group (my parents are coming, so there will be at least 2 people). Let's see, I should come up with an outline ....

I have a lot of comments that I would like to share with whomever comes to listen. Meaning the comments readers have left on my blog. My comments are the best part of blogging. Well, they are the reason for blogging. I have a list of them that I can share on topics like Capucijner peas, onion problems, new community plot, etc.
I have to say that I had a lot of fun today reading through old comments and finding my favorites...
I found your blog about a month ago when searching for something (I can't remember) for my garden. I really enjoy reading your posts and watching your garden grow!
I love to garden myself but never owned land to do so until now! I have my first vegetable garden going and it has been the most exciting time for me!
I am also reading a book you might like, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A year of food life" by Barbara Kingsolver. If you have not read it yet, it is definitely a book to pick up!

The kick-off was a lot of fun. I met some really great gardeners.
I read Animal, Vegetable... a few months ago. Yes. A good book. It was my bedtime reading for a week or so. It put me to sleep well, which is a good quality for a book. But I'm more interested in gardening than in WHY garden. I loved the last chapter about the turkeys. That was great.

I am glad you had a great time at the kick-off! I need to start finding local things to meet gardeners... especially since I really don't know what I am doing. I could use some moral support!
The turkey chapter was definitely my favorite as well. I've always loved to garden and was going to start a veggie garden this year no matter what (the book didn't convince me to start one). However, I find that the book makes me think of things I have never thought of before. I do feel that the beginning of the book was far more interesting than the middle-end although, I do have four more chapters go.
