This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

garden crew
Here's a group shot of my garden crew. I guess they are on their coffee break.
You have a great site. I'm from Tacoma WA and was surfing the web looking for some gardening ideas. I had planned to be out working in my yard but, as it usually the case on Saturdays, it is raining. I got to your site because I was researching garlic scapes. I've got a mess of garlic growing in the backyard and was researching when to bend over the scapes. I'll really enjoy checking out your site in the future. You have done quite a bit with your small space -thanks for sharing!

Aren't these little sparrows cute!!
Wow, that's a lot of birds.
Those sparrows are pretty darn cute. I especially like the guy on the right squeezed between the fence posts.
