This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
Cute picture! I couldn't let my dogs that close to a cabbage though...they'd be eating it. They are crazy about veggies of all sorts! I like the purpley-blue-gray colors in that bed.
I think the look is more of annoyance. "Why on earth are you pointing that thing at me again!!!"
I also admire the combination of purple-blues here. The photo doesn't really catch these colors well it seems to me.
You can see the edge of a big hole Skippy has been working on at the front of the photo. It looks like a giant gopher hole. When its really hot, he'll dig it a bit deeper and then sit in it.

A lovely dog in a beautiful garden.
Is it me, or is he looking rather regal? =)

The textures and colours of the cabbage leaves are pretty and Skippy is just so handsome and a good friend.
