This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

I don't envy you! I experienced similar in 2009 in the DC area, which is much less equipped to deal obviously. I think we were out of work for at least week. I literally--and I swear this is true--SWAM through the snow to get to my flimsy plastic greenhouses, and you know what? the plants survived. We has just bought our first home that spring--a low slung rancher--and it was up to the windowsills. Amazing--enjoy hunkering down!
maybe by dogsled?
My brother is in Chelmsford, Ma. and got 3 feet of snow
I made it down to the garden!! The dogs broke the trail for me. Almost as good as a dog sled!! I think I have pictures to post.
