This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Truly exciting! My hens are on hiatus right now and have no interest in doing anything except avoiding snow!
I had one egg yesterday and now today - another 4 egger!
I am sure its because of the beautiful glass roof my husband built them. Also they are all young hens. But the glass roof spoils them. It looks cool And They are soaking up all the sunlight of the mid New England winter.

I have to remember to post pictures of it soon.
4 eggs again on the 20th! What am I going to do with all these eggs?
Our hens are laying well this winter as well. We have a light in their coop that seems to help. I love your coop!
