This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

unattributed photo
I've probably seen this one before and forgot about it, but its still up: http://gardeninggarden.com/tag/vegetable-gardening/. My photo, no permission, no link. This site gets a negative rating (booo) from Skippy and me.
I was looking for a way to email them with my disapproval but it doesn't seem like they want to hear from us- no email links provided. Chin up Kathy- you've got a hundred fans following your blog for every one that falls for their shoplifted fare!
You can get a cease and desist. I was just reading over at Susan Harris (?) Sustainable Gardening Blog that she had a similar problem (with her content being stolen). You may want to email her and find out how she cleared it up.
Hi Kathy, that's absolutely despicable!! The other thing you can do (if they haven't pinched your photo), is to rename your .jpg file to something else and break their link. Othewise, it appears to be a wordpress generated site. Perhaps an email to wordpress??? You have my support.
Kathy, you could politely but firmly start commenting on their most recent posts about the problem, giving a pointer to the page with the photo. I bet that gets their attention.
I made a complaint and got a surly reply. He did say if it could be "proved" it belonged to someone he'd fix it. Like the photo magically dropped in his lap :-) I sent him a link to this blog and the post title.
(You can often find out who runs a site by using a whois website. Not always, some use anonymous shields.)
I left a comment too with my link. Like you say, one or two doesn't matter. It's the principle. And since they pulled it off my FLickr site, its pretty clearly stated that these are copyright and Flickr requires a link back, which they did not do.
So I'd like to let it be known that its a dishonest site. I typically get a small "payment" and most importantly AN INQUIRY when commercial sites want to use one of my photos.
BTW, here's one of my favorite photos at http://www.ohioheirloomseeds.com/. They sent me a few packages of seeds (they grew great!).
Hi Kathy, just below the article there is a badge saying 'expert author'. If you click on this it gives you a name and then a button to 'report this author' if you believe they are involved in fradulent practices. I was going to do that but thought it better coming from your first. If you'd like us to back you up we could then all do it. I wouldn't be surprised if the text is ripped from somewhere too!

Boo is right, using a photo without asking is very rude.

It appears to have a source link under the photo now, back to your flickr. Maybe you got their attention!

I worked in stock imagery. I was only accounts payable, not legal. But the words that you're looking for are "intellectual property rights".
