seed swap was fun

We are rating the 1st Belmont Victory Garden Seed Swap and Giant Vegetable Contest as a very fun success. Despite the terrible weather. I stopped counting at 12 attendees, but suspect about 20 people came. In rain coats and umbrellas. Gretta informed us all about local gardening. We consumed lots of pumpkin bread and shared lots of seeds.

Later I will add more details, post photos and announce the Grand Winner of the Giant Vegetable Contest.

That's great, kathy! I'm so glad you had such an unexpectedly good turn out for the seed swap. It was very good considering the weather. I'll bet that pumpkin bread was really good.

Terrific! What rain? Never scares good garnders away :-)

By the way, don't miss a chance to vote for my next giveaway - this way you may win something you chose. I have several doggy artworks!

I have to say this was fun and a great way to break my drive from Gloucester back to CT. Learned a lot, ate a lot of cake! and got some great seeds. Thanks so much. Skippy by the way was the cool, mellow guy - all he was missing was a smoking jacket and a cravatte.
