This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

It's like watching the vintage silent movie except yours is color-:)
How long do the untreated pine frames last? Do they rot after a few years? I have concrete blocks raised bed now, but I am thiking to change to wood frame. If the pine can last 10 + years, I may go with it instead of cedar.
Fun! I love how your dogs 'supervise' the process.
I have untreated pine raised beds at my community plot that we built in 2009. Most are holding up still this year. But one edge of a couple beds are in need of rebuilding. So that's 5 years. I'd say 5-7 years seems to be the life of untreated raised pine beds.
Ha Ha! Great. I need to get my husband to go to carpentry classes I think!
