This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Don't forget pumpkin ravioli and pumpkin gnocchi! Both are fantastic with a browned butter sage sauce.
Have not tried pumpkin soup but I want to. Pumpkin pie gets most of our pumpkin and pumpkin bread when I have too much. Must try the soup though...
I love pumpkin; I make lots pumpkin muffins (spiced, mixed with apples, chocolate pumpkin spice, etc), custards (welll, sort of custard. it's pumpkin and eggs and sugar and spices, but no dairy), and i love to cube a few quarts' worth, freeze it on trays, then store in big canning jars to add to quick soups, stirfries, pilafs, etc.
Thanks for these great recipes and ideas!!!!
Freezing pumpkin cubes, what a wonderful idea. Thank you!!!
