This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Wow, you still have tomatoes! Awesome. Our plants have perished awhile ago.
I made a delicious green tomato cake from my end of season green tomatoes.
What a fantastic range of varieties you have there!
I have the same shade problem in the fall although it is the neighbors hedge.
These look great. I hope to come close to that next season.

My tomatoes in the shade started producing late, but the trade off seems to be that they go longer into the fall. No frost here still.
