This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

bare winter garden
This year is on track to be the least snowy winter ever in the Boston area.

Kathy, where are all your sidebar treasures? the archives? recipes? photos???!!! I miss them.
I know that sometimes the long list of topics or the archives will be missing and you need to reload the page. Sometimes they are only there on the front page and not on internal pages.
Like you, no snow coverage here in Southern Ontario. I just hope that there's enough ground saturation. At least the ability to see life pop up is quite easy with no snow! Great blog, btw. :)
Least snow for this year is better for boston gardens, but then, snow are really sressful to plants. by the way, what type of vegetables is in there? It will surely awaits summer bloom. I actually host a weekly gardening link up every Friday on my blog. I'd love for you to drop by and join in.

Not much more in my patch at the moment,but there is some satisfaction in the thought that all that snow has broken up the soil underneath and it is ready for another growing year. Love to you and Skippy!
No snow here in wisconsin( live right by lake michigan) either, am loving it though...my pond is only half frozen and the little fish in there are still moving around. Something, daffodils I think, has decided it's Spring and is coming up in my garden.

Things look neat and ready for spring planting in your garden. We are not quite ready for such things on our west county hill.
