This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Man, I wish we were still having warm and balmy days. The high has been in the 40s at best. And I just got back from Louisiana, where it was in the 70s and 80s the whole time. Quite the shock to the system. Ready for summer already, and we haven't even hit winter yet...
I know there are 3 or 4 months of bitter cold and snow just around the corner. But this week is nice. We'll get through to spring!
Our gardens have been put to bed. We've already had two snowfalls and we're in CA. Lucky lady to still have things growing. I already miss my garden!
Looks like the garden is ready for hibernation. I just planted more in my garden today but I don't get a real frost. No snow down here.

100 cloves!! You must really like garlic. We don't call them community gardens in the UK, we call them allotments - and they are very difficult to find. There are sometimes waiting lists years long
