This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Isn't it a lovely feeling to finally plant out your veggies after such a long Winter. I am biting the bullet and getting stuff out right now! Here's to a wonderful Summer!
Did you already plant the cucumber/squashes? I had squash bugs eat up my plants last year.
That is just awesome. I've been following your blog since late last season and you've inspired me to try a lot of things I'd have avoided! I've literally tripled my garden space this year and will soon be a city chicken keeper! Thanks for the inspiration!
Yes the cukes and squashes are in a doing good. We have never had trouble with squash bugs fortunately.
