This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Easter rose
My mom and dad gave me this beautiful little rose for Easter. Its on my kitchen counter now, but I'm looking forward to planting it in my community garden plot soon. I have the perfect spot for it. It will enjoy the summer sun.

Nice! The plant is small yet the blooms are huge. Very beautiful.
Yes. I wonder if it will grow into a big bush and be covered with enormous blossoms? A nice soft scent too..
