This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
I started my peppers and eggplants on a heat pad that I use. I can’t find my plant mat and the space above the 78F fish tank didn’t do anything. After they sat on the tank a week I put them on the heat pad in the kitchen so I could keep a eye on them. They popped up in a couple days! Very fun to watch.
I hope your peppers come up well. Too bad about the disaster.

Your peppers and beets look good already. I had a disaster with my peppers and had to replant, hopefully they won't take too long to come up.
