This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

me first bee sting
I got stung by one of my bees last Saturday. Ouch. It really hurt. It made me hurry to finish the hive inspection. (more ...)
A bee blog--awesome. I'm looking forward to reading through it. I'm eager to follow how your first year goes, plus overwintering. I bought some local honey the other day and it was the best I've ever tasted. I can't wait to dive into bees.
