This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

election day question
Will the White House Kitchen Garden will get four more years?
Yes, without a doubt. If the White House garden survives and thrives for another four years, it may be difficult for a successor to abandon it.
Thanks to Nate Silver's blog (538) I felt serene tonight while watching the returns roll in. Nate is a genius statistician who developed a winning formula for elections (and other things - like successful baseball players). He placed odds for President Obama to be reelected at 91%.
Tonight is good. We need to enjoy it while it lasts.
As our alarm went off at 06.30a.m. today, my husband John said "He is in again!". We were both very pleased. This is the impact this man and his family has made at home and abroad. Marian (LondonUK)
I watched last night with a smile on my face & just felt good. I am glad the First Lady has 4 more years to continue doing good things with the garden. And what a well designed garden it is. :-)

Not sure. It will be a close one. I wish my garden looked like that though!
I sure hope so! They're even homebrewing that honey ale--my kind of people.
