This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

It even has a nice subtle spring scent.

How beautiful is that? It reminds me of a perfect, minty candy cane! Gorgeous.

WOW!!! What else can you say. Absolutely perfect!!
I love the picture on the bottom left. It looks like the amaryllis jumped out of Kansas and landed in Oz!
SO pretty... Now I'm really bummed I didn't buy any bulbs...
Gorgeous plant and flower...it's so colorful and bright! Excellent photos!
I went ahead and bought the larger bulb last fall. It now has four buds on one stalk and another stalk coming up fast. Definitely a mood lifter.
Wow! These photos are great. It doesn't get too cold that close to the window?
Its fine by the window. They're double panes. It likes the light.
