today's harvest
Labels: harvests
This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
"A well planned garden
bathed in rain and sun.
A faithful laborer...
and the harvest shall come."

Wow, your harvests are fantastic! We suffered quite a bit of bolting with the haphazard weather late spring, so had to replant kale, chard, lettuce. Bugs are difficult to catch up with sometimes, they move in so quickly and can do irrepairable damage so fast, completely lost our broccoli, have seeded some Autumn types, maybe they will catch up and produce some heads.
So frustrating when you look forward to what you have sown and grown. That's nature though!
