In previous years I have picked my first lettuce at the end of May or even early June. This year May 8!!! It has been a record warm spring here, but also my new cold frame is amazing.
Once I pick my first lettuce, I can usually avoid buying any supermarket lettuce until October. I bet the cold frame will extend the fall end of the season too.

Just got my first big one yesterday!
So the season begins.
I will be harvesting some lettuce tonight for dinner along with spinach.....The season has started.

Your lettuce looks so healthy!
My sis loves lettuce in her salad. So I bought some lettuce seeds. It's my first attempt in growing them. Hope mine will turn out as good as yours and my sis will love the home-grown ones!
