This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

a gray day
We've got rain, snow, sleet, and slush today. Dull gray skies. Dreary. The dogs and I walked on muddy, slippery trails. Mud in the car, mud in the house, then "paw baths". A good evening to sit by the fire.

Here near Albany, NY it is the same sloppy mess. Schools were closed. I think a foot of snow would have been more fun. certainly a lot prettier

It's a crazy warm winter I think. Last year was too. I'd like some snow!!
