This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
Your gardens are incredible, amazing, fabulous! All the plants are so big and healthy!
My tomatoes were in dire shape a few weeks ago, but after the extreme heat broke, they began producing again. Lots of little tomatoes, probably too many so I think I should thin them out. Peppers have been a huge success but I've frozen more than we will need. What to do with 10# of peppers? Ah, I think it's time to make tomato sauce, a la Kathy. I have lots of big onions from sets planted 2-3 months ago, and an abundant supply of tomatoes and peppers.
I'm thinking making sauce by putting all the veggies in the slow cooker. I don't think the sauce could be bad!
Beautiful fall garden! Sure looks better than mine. Congratulations.
