This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

You never can have too many arbors - I say that because I would like a few more than just the one that I have at the entry way to my garden! HE DID AN AWESOME JOB!
Oh, delightful! I look forward to watching the vines climb up! I have an old 12' wooden ladder that I am contemplating using as a pumpkin trellis; one thing for sure - the pumpkins are not going anywhere near the vegetable garden! Last year I had a pumpkin jungle that consumed everything in its path!
I sooo agree with you Jezibels :]
I want one (for now) so bad too, but too expensive and I don't have tools to assemble one by myself.
This is a good job, luck you Kathy :)

I thought the arbor your husband built was great!
I love having arbors in the yard and have set up several that you can walk through going from one section of the yard to another.
My favorite one was also made of wood but I will have to replace it because it really got torn up in the last bad wind storm.
Your arbor is an interesting focal point in this garden!
