This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

skippy in the snow
We got a couple inches of snow today. (Wow, finally!) Here's Skippy - enjoying the white stuff at our community gardens.
Our dog Pepper just runs around in the snow like a young deer. It is funny to watch. Some of my seeds are coming up in the incubator and some are not. I'm about to go look at the germination table to see if I have failed on some of them.
Wonder if that is headed our way, it was much colder today. We had a couple of too-warm days last week for this time of year. Nice but not normal. Last year we had a balmy time and then frost and ice in early April. Marian (LondonUK)ombamb
Wow that is a load of snow, we have been very lucky here in the UK not more the 3-4 inches where i live. Hope it is finished for this year i need to start getting my vegetable garden ready for planting.
I'm a few towns away. This weather has been wild. Itvwas snowing then in the 60's and 70 today. I have so many things sprouting at Lisatink.blogspot.com. I hope a cold snap doesn't come and kill it all. Do you like going to a community garden? I have a very very small apace but am unsure if I could make it enough to make it worth it.
Hi. I was wondering if you have time to consult on another garden? I have a plot in the community garden and I did not do well last year. I'm currently trying to redesign the garden and I could use some help. I'm a bit terrified of going wrong....
