This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

that is absolutely unbelieveable.. HOw much in all do you think you will harvest??
That is super cool. My garden is about 1/3 dead! (severe drought here)
Hi Laurie, I was wondering where you are located. We also have had a VERY dry August in the Boston area and some local towns have water restrictions. But the big reservoir west of here (Quabbin MWRA) where we get our water, is holding up OK. Fortunately my garden is so small that I can water it fine with my sprinkler and underground irrigation lines.
df: That's a great question! I'll answer it in a post someday soon. I've never added it all up, but one thing I do know is we don't buy many veggies during the summer (certainly no zucchini, tomatoes or cukes!).
I just loved your month by month garden! Wouldn't it be fun if you could take lots and string them together for a movie!!
That would be fun. It would grow as we watched it.
