This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Skippy and my frozen garlic
I assume the garlic is doing fine down under the snow and ice. 70 days until spring planting, and counting.
I love your blog...I just so happened up on it...I am, this spring going to have a "little" garden, love the "raised beds"...can you give me some suggestions? please..Tina
We keep his fur short, but its very thick and he tends to be warm even in very cold weather. He'll go out and nap on the ice at 20 degrees! To me though, this cold weather is not at all pleasant, and its just not going away.... Brrrr..
