thrush or thrasher?

a070 bird
a069 bird

Can you help me identify this bird? He was very upset with Skippy and I walking down the path through his territory. He clucked and flapped. There is probably a nest nearby. Do you think its a brown thrasher or a wood thrush?

My vote is thrasher. The eyebrow, dark beak and long tail all look like a thrasher. The behavior sounds very thrasher-like too.

It's a thrasher. See the two white wing bars? That's how you tell. Great pictures!

That looks very much like our State bird here in Georgia, The Brown Thrasher. There is a movement called "Flip the Birds" trying to change the state bird to the common chicken. Over my dead body. Please welcome the brown thrasher to your state!
