pear blossoms

pear blossoms 060 pear blossoms 109 pear blossoms 065 The two espaliered pears in my community plot are full of blossoms! Finally.

For two years they haven't bloomed at all. Last summer I found a book on pruning and stopped clipping off all of the side branches. What a difference.

I'm hoping some pears set.

    I had a rose bush do that last year. I think that variety behave differently. My neighbor has the same kind and it's over the fence and blooms in my yard as well.

    Nice looking blooms! Last year all the fruit blossoms were killed off here in Ontario from early warmth followed by a freeze. I'll be looking forward to actually pick some fruit this fall.

    I have one Bartlett (Williams) and one Keiffer tree.
