Isn't spring wonderful!
I just now clicked on my label link below for "sideyard aerial photos" and was reminded what a tough winter it was. Only one month ago we had a foot of snow, Feb we were covered with nearly 3 feet, Jan and Dec were cold and dark, and October we had Hurricane Sandy.... All I can say is:
Isn't spring wonderful!
Could not agree more!!!!! No Sandy here, but long rough winter.
ReplyDeleteI hear you too! I work in Auburndale twice a week, so I'm right about in your neck of the woods. What a glorious stretch of dry weather we are in the midst of! Traveling east from Princeton I get to see what's in store for my house the week after next! Spring surely is wonderful, yes indeed!
ReplyDeleteI have been so tempted to start planting...but I keep heeding the warning about the seeds rotting in the cold wet soil until the nighttime temperatures stay above 50 degrees.
ReplyDeleteThen this evening I heard a frost warning that included the northern area of NJ.
Yes, it is! Kathy, I like your walking boards midway in your raised bed. I made my beds 4 feet across and 8-12 feet long, depending on available space. I find that reaching across 4 foot beds is tough, maybe because I was thrifty with my pathway widths and can't really kneel facing the beds directly. A board to walk on midway is brilliant and will save my knees and back :). Thanks so much for the great idea! Enjoy this terrific Spring!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is! Time ti enjoy the garden
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you... Do you grow Tomato plants? If so.. do you start them from seed indoors and then transplant outside? I am debating transplanting them outside next weekend.. I am in Topsfield, Ma
ReplyDelete~ Michele
Michele, I think its still too early to set out tomato plants. For many years I have set then out early and tried all sorts of ways to protect them. The ones I set out later always do at least as well. Up in Topsfield, I'd wait to May 15.
ReplyDeleteYes Spring is wonderful! Particularly after such a long, cold Winter. It looks like it's full steam ahead on the plot now!
