This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

snow scenes
We have 3 feet of packed powder on our trails. I am going to see if I can buy a pair of snow shoes so I can go on some of the unpacked trails. I wonder if they make any in Skippy's size.
I like your blog. Love your pictures! And I am learning...I am starting a garden and trying to figure it out where and when to plant, and how to rotate the crops. I am doing good so far, I already started seeds inside , I live in California. I have 1/4 acre to play around, but my biggest challenge is the huge black walnut tree that is toxic for most of the veguies I like. I am posting my begginers experience on my blog
great picks, I just spent the last couple of minutes watching my neighbors lab try to get across my backyard, he just kept sinking in the snow every step of the way
Brrrrr...thanks for the pictures of the snow. We are in FL to escape those snows, but getting anxious to get back north to start our garden. This brings us back to reality...still lots of snow in MI too. Love your blog.
Superb blog post, I have book marked this internet site so ideally I’ll see much more on this subject in the foreseeable future!
