  9. Hello! your seedlings are doing very well, I had beautiful lettuce growin outside but have been attacked and eaten by snails, I understand you are doing your garden organically, so my question is What do you with the snail and slugs? is there any natural way to get rid of them?

  13. I use sluggo pellets and crazy obsessive picking!! Slugs are a bad problem for me! I go out in the evening and search, search, search.

  14. Slugs can be a big problem for lettuce. I admit to using the pellets too. Just a couple. But there have been some clever organic ideas elsewhere on this blog.

  15. I use DE (diotomaceous earth)for slugs and snails. It tears them up when they travel over it. It's organic. You have to reapply when it rains, but it does work. There is no holding time from field to table with this method. DE has a bunch of uses in the garden.
