This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

basil harvest
I like a nice big garbage bag full of basil at the end of summer. This one should get us through the winter with plenty of pesto.
I'm so glad you got a computer of your own!!! I'm so excited to see comments from you!
I was planning to harvest this year's crop today, but it doesn't look like I'll get around to it. (I've been working all day.) Its a big job to process all that basil. Maybe tomorrow.
An amazing harvest! How abundant!
