This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

garden work
Another beautiful day. I turned over the soil in bed #3 (from the left). There's still a good layer of frozen dirt down there at about 6 inches deep.
I think you're right Kathy. Skippy's just out there enjoying himself in the sun. I hope you can't find my coffee cup in the picture or you'll suspect I wasn't really working too hard either.
Tell that skippy that a watched tulip never flowers... :) (He's staying out of the garden beds, right? So that's all the work you want him to do anyway?)
Skippy is a really good garden helper. I'm very lucky. He doesn't dig up the yard anymore. And my new fence works good at keeping him out of the vegetables.
You know, Skippy doesn't look like he's working all that hard ;-)
ReplyDeleteI always like seeing updates about your garden. You keep everything so organized. I'm going to try to have organized raised beds this year.
