i always love your post of what you seed when... it makes for a fantastic resource for nearby gardeners like myself... how awesome that you added a "plans" section too... it makes it even that much more helpful! esp for someone like myself who is new to indoor seeding! anyway- thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeletethe groundhog may not agree but all this talk of seeds has me feeling like spring is right around the corner!
I’m going to try to figure out how to keep up the plan section because it’s helpful for me too. I hadn’t heard about the groundhog prediction. Darn. I suppose I didn’t look it up because I have a sense that we have a couple months of winter left. I do notice the extra light we have now though. The sun is higher and brighter. That’s really nice.
ReplyDeleteThought I would add my planting plan for my pacific northwest coastal garden...I do a flower cutting garden along with the veggies....I start everything indoors and transplant into 2 inch pots with the exception of the eating peas which I pre-sprout then seed directly into the garden and the walla walla onion starts that I plant directly into 2 inch pots and put them in my cold frame since the weather is so unpredictable when the starts are available.
ReplyDeleteFebruary - 2nd week - leeks
3rd week - spinach, parsley, calendula, larkspur seeds in the fridge, gazania (for containers)
March- 1st week- cosmos, larkspur, kohlrobi, lettuces -tango, salad bowl, winter density, butter crunch
4th week-sweet peas on damp paper towels to sprout, bachelor buttons
April - 1st week - peas- sugar ann and Oregon sugar pod 2 on damp paper towels to sprout, bok choi, cilantro and walla wall onion starts
3rd week - kolrobi, lettuces- cardenale, merlo, tom thumb, red sails
May (before the 15th) dahlias
That's so great! Sounds like a beautiful garden. I can just imagine the colors and greens. The timing is pretty similar to mine.
