This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

suzie and charley
Charley is keeping me pretty busy. He loves being in the vegetable garden and quickly found the little lettuce plants. He thinks they taste very good.
All my dogs are Portuguese water dogs. I just love this breed (plus my husband is allergic to dogs, but not this breed). The breed is smart, great "personalities", they bond closely with their person and pack, they're active, and have beautiful soft fur.
My dogs are all from the same breeder, so they're a little bit related to each other. Their breeder is amazing. She is really great and breeds great dogs. Here is her website, C-Lion Portuguese water dogs
Cute photo! Lettuce eater is he? The beagle we had would snatch carrots, potatoes, sweet corn, but not lettuce. At least not that I know of. Though she would eat the catnip to keep it away from the cats. And to think I taught her to eat veggies, eating some myself making num-num sounds until she followed suit. Duh-oh!
Charley, welcome to the garden.
ReplyDeleteSusie, be kind to your younger brother.
Kathy, I hope you have many years of happiness from these two.
YAY!!! Charley and Suzie look so cute together.
