today's harvest

harvest IMG_4288 Lettuce, bok choi and herb fennel. What do I do with all that fennel herb?! I bought is not realizing that bulb fennel and herb fennel are different.

  1. Infuse vodka with it to make an Italian liqueur called Finocchietto (a bit like limoncello, just with fennel).
    You could make a pesto with it.
    Roast whole fish on the grill atop it (or wrap fish and bake in the oven) I always freeze some to make stock with. If you can get shake some pollen from the flowers, it is nice to have on hand. enjoy!
