Hi, haven't sown one seed yet, must get going. We did Red Russian Kale, it was lovely young in salads and great when mature. Plus it is pretty in the over-wintering plot. Hope your thaw is under way and not too hazardous!

  2. I wasn't going to do kale as I don't eat it much, but, yes, it is so pretty in the garden. I will plant just a few. Maybe will make some Portuguese kale soup with it (I love that!) or some oven-roasted krispy kale.

Our thaw is proceeding. I am finding that the dogs and I can't walk on any trails now. Even the ones that were nicely packed have turned to some consistency that won't support dog paws or even snow shoes. We sink in a foot or so. So we are staying in for now. The good news is the snow pack is down to about 1.5 ft I would say. And lots of rain on the way for the weekend.

We will stay in, bathe and groom the dogs, and plant seeds!!!
