Its fall, the season is over and most of our garden plots are looking pretty raggedy. Some still going strong, some have already been put away for winter, some just look neglected. We usually have a fair amount of plots that get overgrown with weeds.

That's mine in the lower right. Still pretty full of food crops. Dahlias and nasturtiums are doing well too.

  1. Does your community garden have any available plots for 2013, and if so, whom may I contact? Thank you - love the blog and natch Skippy!

  2. We have a waiting list of about 200 or so right now. Plot assignments are in April and we usually have about 10-15 plots available each year. Right now people are waiting about 5 years to get a plot. If I post this here I'm afraid that'll double.... But if you want to request a plot, you can email me at the address at the bottom of my sidebar and I will forward it to the person in charge of the wait list.

  3. Do you have any greenhouses in the community garden. That could keep you growing for longer and could improve your yield.
