This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

sideyard garden in the cool wet spring
The beds are pretty well planted now with peas, beans, edamame and tomatoes. They are growing slow in the cool wet weather. The peas have pulled down their supports. I'll look for another support next year. But they are just about ready to start picking.
Inside the cold frame are eggplants, cucumbers, watermelon and herbs.
I was checking out the seeds on ebay and caught a glimpse of your garden.....

ReplyDeletethat's a great shot! I love gardening! That's definitely something I miss! I hope we can be homeowners soon again so I can have my own! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you closed your cold frame in these past few days that we dropped to 52F and so? I have not planted my peppers and eggplants yet but they are just out in the open at my porch on 3th floor. I worie that this cold weather will stun them.
