grape flowers

grape flowers 021 grape flowers 020 grape flowers 018
As I was photographing flowers today, I started wondering about the grapes. I've never seen a grape flower. I looked close and one of my vines was in bloom! This is a Cabernet vine. Very small flowers with little fruits forming in the center.

My Catawba vine has well formed fruit clusters. I'll add a photo here tomorrow.

  1. Oh, that's SO cool. Funny, this is the first year I ever even THOUGHT about doing EXACTLY that (or even thought about grape flowers at all) but completely spaced on getting it done. So, thank YOU for filling in! =)

  5. Hello,

Sorry this is off topic but I didn't know how else to contact you. I just finished using your wonderful online spring planting calendar and went on to the fall planting calendar but the link does not work. Has anyone else had problems? Again the spring one works fine. Thought you'd want to know and I hope to use it if it's fixable. Thanks for the excellent work.
