This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

robin nest
Today I realized there are 4 chicks in the robin nest outside my window. They are growing very fast.
I will live stream video until they fledge: http://www.livestream.com/robininthegarden
OH my 4! I thought there were 2 eggs. Lovely picture. Makes my heart beat fast. P.S. Unrelated Kathy but I realized yesterday that something ate my bigger cabbage family plant leaves too so I think I will use covering too as I was wrong with my "big plants are safe" theory lol. Hulya
Ha Ha, wonderful. The birds are so busy, backwards and forwards with meals for their young. I marvel at their energy. How lucky we are to observe them, can't imagine a day without bird song. Marian (LondonUK)

ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the seedlings and robins. Hope you caught that critter eating our other seedlings or fenced it out.
