This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

rosemary blossom
I brought a potted rosemary in from the yard this weekend and just noticed it has a couple little blossoms. They smell as pretty as they look....
Nice to take a pause from the rush and enjoy this picture of a beautiful flower. And it is good to notice the not often noticed!
This year I grew a very small leaf basil plant; I never thought to dig it up and bring it inside. The leaves were tiny, but oh so potent. It became quite a 'good friend' over its growing season!
