This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

vacation
We had a fantastic weekend at the Inn at Crotched Mountain in Francestown NH. It was a relaxing weekend - we hiked and dined. They have a "dog-friendly" inn - Skippy loved it too. He ran in the big fields and swam in the brook. What fun!
They have a lovely backyard with several apple trees, a peach tree, and a nice vegetable garden.
Here are photos of the Inn and our hike nearby: Vacation slideshow
Here are photos of their garden: The Inn's garden slideshow. I look forward to a return visit in mid summer!
This is so beautiful it makes me teary eyed. We don't get this fall beauty in CA. We have a little, but not like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vacation spot. The Inn's website has a great gallery of photos too.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and great vacation home! Are you a photographer as well?
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, such lovely colours. There is an avenue of trees that I pass through to and from the workshop their leaves are turning now it makes me smile if I am feeling a little stressed and not like working that day perhaps. Small things of beauty warm your heart and calm your mind.
