This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

birds I saw this weekend
From top: a bluebird with nesting material, a pair of mallards, a migrating flock of snow geese on the big pond, and a pretty little song sparrow in the garden grasses.
Lovely photos! I particularly love the bluebird. Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteNot only do I like these photos but I love the way that they are laid out on the page. Wish I had the know-how. I'm lucky if I can just center mine!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures ! What kind of camera do you use ? Do you have a fabulous telephoto lens ?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Not a great 'bird man', myself, but with photos like these, I could be persuaded... :) (All your pics are good btw). Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBlue birds are great to watch.
ReplyDeleteI always liked to watch those nature shows. One thing I learned from them, is that the birds that are the most colorful are the males.
Pictures are nice, thank you!
Gosh you live in a beautiful area! I love the ducks!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! You are a good photographer of nature.
ReplyDeleteI too am loving all of the birds that are coming out this spring--and also hearing the geese return from migration.
