This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
Hi Skippy - Those are some lovely veg pictures. I'm over in France and we have had one of the driest summers ever so my harvests are severely reduced. I am very jealous of your red onion - my onions were a disaster!!
ooh! Too gorgeous. Our sunburst squash are also doing well, tho' my garden isn't nearly as diverse as yours. Do you know how to tell when corn is ready? Do you just open up the top and peek in? It's my first batch ever.
Just found your blog and am really enjoying your photos. I'm jealous of all your beautiful squash. Squash Vine Borers were malicious this year; I got little or nothing.
