This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

garden flowers
These are mostly flowers from Bruce's plot at the Belmont Victory Ganden. Beautiful!
Beautiful, some of the old timers on our site get a bit funny about growing flowers amongst the vegetables. Tutting, stroking their brows. Absolute bunkum, flowers are great to look at, attract pollinators, deter beasties and good to cut and take home, go for it! Marian (LondonUK)
when I changed peas patches, the plant police at the new one said that it was for vegetables, not flowers. oh my,--- I've got a row of flowers and people seem to enjoy them now that they are there. Flowers and veggies both seem to fit in very nicely. i really enjoy your pictures of the veggies and flowers.
Very lush and colorful, i love the red monarda :o)
