Any ideas about whats causing these spots? I'm thinking it doesn't look like insects. Maybe sunburn, because we've gone so fast from cool and cloudy weather to hot sunny weather? Comments appreciated.
This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

This is not a professional opinion, but my mustard and arugula also has spots similar to yours and they only showed up after a week of extremely hot weather and lots of sun. It could be sunburns, some small parts of theplants even look dry and crispy.
Could it be the White rust?
