This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

spicy coleslaw
I think I'll try this with my savoy cabbage heads this week: spicy coleslaw
I bet that was a typeO. It should read "Harvesting Tips", of course.
... If I can't find the 2 big Savoy heads (that are about the last things left in my garden), then I'll go down to the basement and look for my red cabbage in the vegetable storage fridge....
I think I'll make this today. We have ribs cooking out side in our new smoker. (Ahhh) It has to be seasoned before the turkey goes in later this week.
Ha ha, the recipe includes a "shopping tip," as if you would purchase one from a grocer! :oD
